THE ROYAL WEDDING

So Prince Charles is giving Meghan Markle away on the occasion of her marriage to Prince Harry! I always thought it had to be someone on the bride's side of the family if her father wasn’t available. My husband’s boss gave me away when I got married in The Bahamas. He was British, so sort of represented my side. Anyway, best wishes to the happy couple!

I will try to get up early tomorrow morning, as I really want to watch this exciting event on television. The wedding starts at 12 noon UK time, but it will only be 7 a.m. here in The Bahamas.

Romance novel published

The Buckingham & Winslow Advertiser, U.K., ran a piece on my new novel "Love at Sunset", which is available on Amazon and other online retail stores as an e-book and in paperback. Buckingham is one of the places where I lived as a child and wrote my first book at age eleven!

Set in The Bahamas and Scotland, my upcoming romantic suspense novel “Love at Sunset” shows the determination of an elderly couple in love to enjoy their sunset years to the fullest, despite opposition from their children. The plot follows the people in Violet and Gordon’s lives, including those out to harm them. It portrays unexpected romance, family discord, reconciliation - and second chances! And it reveals the gap between rich and poor and the humanitarian works of those who care.

This novel grew out of my short story “Love at Sunset”, first published in “The Lady” magazine, London, England. Here, by popular demand, is the full story of Violet and Gordon and their undying love for each other, despite all odds.
