Julian Fellowes, who
according to wikipedia.org is the “creator, writer and executive producer of
the multiple award-winning British television series Downton
Abbey”, said in a CNN Smerconish interview today that he creates a world
of people and they then have identities.
This brilliant writer told of
how he was once in a Barnes & Noble store and a woman came up to him pleading
“please let Edith have some happiness!” How wonderful to create such memorable
characters that they become household names to millions of viewers.
Season 6 of “Downton” Abbey
begins on PBS tomorrow night. Can’t wait!
