I managed to dig
out some more old photos I had intended including in two of my blog posts –
“Coming to The Bahamas” and “Easter Memories”. One is of me sight-seeing in Miami on the way to Nassau
(I took a trip on a glass bottomed boat) and the other one is proof I really
did catch three bone fish! Here are the links to the articles:-
So cool. :) Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya! I was glad I found them.
DeletePatsy - I am so sorry, I deleted your comment about bone fish instead of publishing it! I'd be most grateful if you could repost, please! Thanks so much and apologies again. So stupid of me!
ReplyDeleteYou pressed the wrong button, didn't you? I almost never do that.
ReplyDeleteI only said the bone fish did look as though they were made of bone – I'm guessing that's how they gor their imaginative name.
Yes, I did, Patsy! As you know, the Delete button is right underneath the Publish button. So close to it. I never did that before. Will have to watch that in future. Thanks so much for reposting :-) Yes! You are right. The bone fish have so many bones, it takes a real knack to get the meat out. I'm afraid I never mastered "the art". But the meat is really sweet. Bahamians love bone fish on grits, often for breakfast. It's prepared in a delicious gravy with seasonings and onions.
