She says she loves writing and is the author of several empowering fiction as well as non-fiction books for adults and children. Teri's husband Tellis A. Bethel, a former Commander Defence Force within the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (2015 – 2020) at the rank of Commodore, is also a published author. Teri and Tellis have two sons, Tate and Tellis Jr. Tate is a published author as well.
