This is my latest “Woman in
Action” article that appears in “The Punch” on page 15 today about Chella
Phillips Melnechuk, founder of “The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau, Bahamas”. Chella
rescues stray dogs, many of whom are suffering from debilitating diseases, and
finds them happy homes in the U.S. The Punch features an outstanding local woman
in their “Woman in Action” column every Thursday, with my articles usually
appearing every other Thursday.
What a great story. I have a cousin in Phoenix who is forever picking up waifs and strays and taking care of them until they can be found a new home.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julia. It seems there are so many needy and homeless animals everywhere. I know there are just as many or more humans desperately needing help as well, but if anyone can help wherever there is a need, God bless them.
DeleteI agree with you, Fay. Chella really has a heart for animals. Interesting article.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya. And she has to deal with some really heartbreaking situations with the dogs she tries to save.
